Safe Sitter Babysitting Course

The Winneconne Public Library will be hosting a Safe Sitter course during spring break, on Thursday, March 29th, 8 am-1:30pm. Class is limited to 8 students and parents must register student online (see instructions, including link to website, below)

To register:
Go to the following website: – click on Classes and Events, at the lower right side of the main screen under Affinity Resources. This will bring up a list of all the classes that are listed on the website. Type in Safe Sitter in the search window and click search – this will show all of the Safe Sitter classes offered. Click on DetailRegister to register and pay the $40 for the class.

This medically accurate program taught by health professionals from Affinity. Children will learn about:

• Babysitting as a business
• Child Care Essentials
• Safety for the Sitter
• Injury Prevention & Management
• Choking Infant and Child Rescue Techniques
• Behavior Management

Course includes a Safe Sitter manual, and participants are to bring a healthy snack, lunch and beverages. The room temperatures vary, so please dress appropriately.

All participants must completed 5th Grade, per Safe Sitter requirement.
