Book Discussion Group

Book club meetings have changed from the last Monday to the last Thursday of each month.

Copies of the books will be available for checkout to book club participants the month before each discussion.

Story Times

The Spring Story Time session begins Tuesday, January 26 and will end on the last Tuesday of April, April 27th.

Story times are held on Tuesday mornings at 10 am.

Children will actively engage in stories, fingerplays, nursery rhymes and songs to assist in developing early literacy skills.

Movies at the Library

Watch movies at the library every third Thursday of the month at 3:30pm:

  • February 18
    Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

Snacks are provided by the Friends of the Library. Bring your own covered drink and a pillow to sit on.

chessFamily Game Days

Play board games and puzzles on the days that school isn't in session:

  • Friday, January 22 1 - 3pm
  • Monday, February 15 1 - 3pm

Games include:

  • Candy Land
  • Chutes and Ladders
  • Harry Potter Scene It
  • Battleship, and
  • Trouble

We have games and puzzles, too, but feel free to bring your own!

Children in kindergarten or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Snacks will be provided.

computer classFree Computer Courses at the Library

Advanced computer classes will be held on a weekly basis. Call the library at 582-7091 to sign up for each class.

  • January 28
    learn basic skills to work with your photos
  • February 4
    learn Facebook, a social networking tool that will help you keep in touch with family and friends
  • February 11
    learn Publisher, a desktop publishing program on which you can create posters, greeting cards, and many other publication projects
  • February 18
    learn the basics of Microsoft Excel, a spreadsheet program that will help you organize and track your finances

You're welcome to bring your own laptop computer if you have one.

Monday Morning Moms

Monday Morning Moms meets every Monday morning at 10am.

It's an interactive playgroup for babies ages 0 through 3 years.

There's a short story time with fingerplays, then playtime for babies while parents discuss matters of importance to them.

Winter Hours Though Memorial Day

Labor Day through Memorial Day the library opens at 10am.

Winter hours are:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 10am - 6pm
  • Thursday 10am - 7pm
  • Saturday, 10am - 1pm

Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

HeritageQuest Online is designed for people who are either just beginning their family research, or who after years of work are still uncovering their past.
